Upcoming events for Stella Nova

Stella Nova is an Auckland-based SF/F/H club catering to fans of all fandom persuasions. The main meetings are held monthly on the third Wednesday of the month. Other regular events also happen during the month.

•     BOOK – 31st Jan, 7.30pm – Discussion group for readers – Mangere Bridge.  Yes, it was supposed to be the 24th the hosts won’t be back from the Taupo Joust by then so it was postponed a week.

•     SPACE – Saturday 5th Feb, 3.00pm – Social gathering of members to eat & drink and talk.  SPACE is a ‘Space on the Beach’ (let’s hope the weather is good) at Omana Beach near Maraitai.  If it’s a clear night, a Star Party may occur.

•     Club Meeting – 16th Feb, 8.00pm – Venue: Auckland Horticultural Centre, 990 Great North Rd, Western Springs.  The March club meeting is on the 16th of March meeting and the AGM.

•     BOG – cancelled for February as it falls on the same weekend as Battlecry.

•     SPACE – 4th March, 7.30pm – Papakura.  Maree’s planning a special evening.

Phoenix SF Society – November Calendar

Phoenix is a Wellington based SF/F/H club catering to fans of all fandom persuasions. The main meetings are held monthly on the second wednesday of the month. Other regular events also happen during the month.

• Main Meeting – 10th Nov, 7.30pm – Topic: “Writers presentation and Guest Speaker”. The Phoenix writers group will be reading works on the theme of “flat earth”. As an added bonus, club patron Phillip Mann will be along to tell everyone what he has been up to and read from his latest project “The Headman”. Venue: Turnbull House, Bowen St, Wellington
• Biblio – 15th Nov, 5.30pm – Discussion group for readers – D4, Featherston Street
• Writers – 20th Nov, 1.30pm – Local support group for aspiring genre writers – Eastbourne
• Board Gaming – 20th Nov, 6.30pm – Tawa
• PIG – 27th Nov, 7.30pm – Social gathering of members to eat & drink and talk – Maungaraki
